What are you? Centrro.com is ultimately a search tool. It is designed to help consumers find personal finance products that best fit their unique needs.

Who are you? The Centrro.com team is composed of talented and driven people with vast experience in the online and financial sectors, having worked at eBay, Experian Interactive, Homestore, Move.com, QSpace, YesMail, American Express, Oversee.net, and other leading internet companies. Our founders created the first Internet-based consumer credit report delivery company and built it into the largest online, direct-to-consumer credit network.

What is a credit grade? A credit grade is an A through F ranking (like at school) of your credit. To determine your grade we have developed algorithms and use information from your credit report, including your real credit score.

What is a credit report? A credit report contains all of the detailed information in a person's credit file maintained by a credit bureau. It gives details about how you pay your bills and repay loans, how much credit you have available, and what your monthly payments are. The report is, in short, a "snapshot" of your credit history that gives third-parties (e.g., credit card companies, lenders) insight into your credit worthiness.

Will using the site lower my credit score? Absolutely not. Centrro.com requests the credit score on your behalf, which means that it will not affect your credit score.

Is Centrro a credit bureau or credit reporting agency? We are not a credit bureau or credit reporting agency. However, we do have partnerships with the credit bureaus so that they release your credit report and score to us, as if we were an agent.

What if I have placed a fraud alert on my credit file? Centrro.com cannot access your credit information if there is a fraud alert on your file with a credit bureau. We respect your privacy and your request for additional protection of your credit information. What you may be able to do is to contact the credit bureaus and have them temporarily remove the alert if you would like to see your free credit grade and associated offers.

My credit grade seems "off." How can I investigate? Your credit score is determined by each separate credit bureau and may differ with each one. Scores can also vary daily depending on your financial activity. We encourage you to check your credit grade on a monthly basis to keep track of these small discrepancies. However, if your grade seems very different from what you thought it was, you can use the centralized service put together by the three major credit reporting agencies to explore the matter further. See www.annualcreditreport.com for more information.

How do I sign up? Signing up for Centrro.com is extremely fast and 100% free. Just fill out our short form (it only takes seconds) and once we have verified your identity, you'll be taken to your personalized offers page. If you have an account with us, you will never have to re-enter this information again.

Where do offers come from? The credit and loan offers that you see on Centrro.com are the result of relationships that we have with credit card companies and banks that give us access to their current offers. We sort through all available offers to find the ones best-suited for each individual applicant based on their credit profile.

Am I guaranteed approval for the offers displayed to me? We cannot guarantee that you will be approved for the offers presented to you on the site. What we do offer is a "most likely" scenario – that is, your chance of approval is higher because offers are matched up based on your "real" credit history. The approval rates for offers you find on our site are therefore much higher than other websites.

How often are the offers updated? All offers are "live," which means that they are generated in seconds and represent a real-time offering. Some are ongoing, so you will always see them; other offers will come and go based on demand.

Is this a safe, secure site? Centrro values your security concerns and follows the necessary precautions to protect your identity and your data. We use VeriSign and McAfee Secure services to prevent unauthorized access to your information. For details, please refer to our Privacy and Security policies.

Why do you need the last 4 digits of my social security number? The last 4 digits of your social security number are used ONLY to verify your identity. We do NOT ask you to reveal your full social security number. The only time this may be necessary is if we cannot retrieve your credit file, which may happen if you have moved recently and your file has not been updated. Regardless, we have encrypted the last 4 digits of your SSN and it will never be displayed on any part of our site.

Your information is safe with us.
